No, I didn't die and go to heaven, but I need this kind of place to be here on earth so I can visit every once in a while. There is such an old fashioned elegance here that you can't get anywhere else. I'm probably an easy touch, when the host, a distinguished older gentleman in suit and tie, tells me that they just had a cancellation and he has a beautiful table by the windows for us, I swooned. Starting with a demitasse of consume is just classy. Popovers! Where else do they have popovers? Strawberry butter might be passe if you have it every day, but what a sweet treat for those who don't. The service was elegant. Menu offered the perfect variety of options. Enjoyed my surf and turf salad, 3 large grilled shrimp with a substantial piece of correctly cooked filet with grilled romaine. Personally, I would have liked more lettuce and less steak, but they are not mind readers. Mom's crab cake sliders was excellent and so was dessert. And the icing on the cake was right out of 1940's Hollywood, a model stopping at our table to describe her outfit. I can't forget to mention the generosity of the server who added 2 popovers and some strawberry butter to the remains of the filet I decided to take home. there were also chocolates with the bill. They thought of everything. A little pricey, but worth it for a wonderful afternoon for me and mom.

The service was fair. The waiter forgot what we had ordered and basically came back and took the order again. Asked for dressing on the side and it came out with dressing on it. However, the popovers are amazing!!! It's pretty over priced...not sure if ill come back again when there are a million other places to each in the kop mall.

I love The Zodiac. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. Our server, Vera, described and recommend the daily specials, and immediately told us about the smoothie of the day and described it so vividly that we had to order it and it was AMAZING. I've worked in the service industry, and have experienced many restaurants, cafes, and pubs across Philadelphia area and New York City area, and I can honestly say Vera gave me the best service I've EVER experienced in my life. She is amazing. She is hilarious. She is so sweet and intelligent and I will go back for the food, for the smoothie, and of course, Vera.

Perhaps I've been spoiled by the Zodiac Room in Chicago on Michigan Ave....but this was disappointing....and I'm being kind here. The litany of errors (had to ask for the popover, when it finally came, parts of it was burnt, the cranberry butter was frozen, then she microwaved it so that it came out half liquid/half solid) combined with the dry turkey sandwich that was as tasteless as cardboard (just as Nancy C described on her review on 6/21/2013. I should have read her review before I ordered!). Something is obviously wrong with this kitchen and the manager should be questioned...This is not what a lunch at NM should be like.... Next time, I'm going to skip The Zodiac Room at King of Prussia....

I used to be a fan of this restaurant, but I was underwhelmed by my last visit. A classy little spot nestled inside Neiman Marcus, the menu is limited and the prices are (as expected) on the higher side. Your meal starts off with a fresh popover and strawberry butter spread. Next they serve palette-cleansing cups of broth, and finally comes your entree. I ordered the roasted tomato soup topped with lump crab meat - but the soup had an uncomfortable amount of heat to it, and was too spicy for me to eat even half of. ("Fire-roasted" often implies it will be hot - but "roasted" does not, so this was really unexpected.) My entree of fresh beer battered fish and chips with a house tartar sauce left MUCH to be desired. Both the fish and the sauce were flavorless. The rest of my company enjoyed their meal (they raved especially about the fresh chicken salad), and Zodiac still has some of my favorite strawberry lemonade. But given the price and an all-around unimpressive meal, I will probably opt for a different restaurant the next time I'm in the area.

The Zodiac is one of the highlights of a shopping trip to Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia. Along with the signature popovers with strawberry butter and chicken broth in teacups, they serve an edited but tasty menu of continental cuisine and familiar favorites. Service is excellent, prices aren't exemplary but pretty consistent with the location. My only gripes were with a server that took the napkin rings up without notice (to prevent theft, she said, but a little rude considering we were looking everywhere for them and we had to bring it up to her) and with the popovers being a little past their prime (we had a late lunch). Despite this, I'd still recommend a visit. The Zodiac is a great place overall.

Not going back . Used to go there every time I visited K of P mall. Turkey sandwich was so dry I couldn't swallow it. Two dry pieces of toast filled with turkey, lettuce and a slice of tomato. No mayo, no butter, no sauce, nothing. Half a dry sandwich and a small bowl of soup was $14. The supervisor came around smiling and asking everyone if they were enjoying their lunch expecting an affirmative answer. When I didn't give it she just moved on and never asked again or apologized or anything. Overpriced poor food.

The Zodiac at Neiman Marcus offers continental fare at inflated prices for a restaurant of its class. (NM stands for "Needless Markup", ha-ha, get it?) While waiting for our entrees, we enjoyed their humongous (air-filled) signature popovers (is there a polite way of eating a popover?) with smooth sweet strawberry butter - worth experiencing. At one point, teacups with chicken broth were brought out. I've never been given soup in a tiny teacup before, have you? I had their Gemelli pasta, with sauteed shrimp, peas, and pancetta for 16.25. It was alright. Took 20 minutes to come out. During the meal, a model came in, advertising clothes that are available for purchase at Neiman Marcus. Servers Nancy and Jerald were accomodating. We ended the lunch with a sweet coconut sorbet.

I used to be a fan of this restaurant, however, my last two visits left me disappointed. Service remains very good, however, whoever is cooking isn't. I ordered salmon over brussel sprouts, potatoes, and leeks. The salmon was overcooked and had so much cracked pepper on top that my gums were irritated after my meal. Why are they adding cracked black peppercorn!!! This should be optional and added by the patron! I was thinking that the fish may have been old and they were trying to hide that fact...either way there is no excuse for chef putting so much pepper on anything. The brussel sprouts were horrible too. They tasted like they were pickled in red wine or something. Yuck! Because of the bad cooking I will not be returning.

Would actually give it 3 and half stars. They start you off with a small cup of broth. After you order they bring the popovers with strawberry butter, both are always good. The new menu is still a little pricey, but no more than Legal SeaFoods. All the dish's have the calorie content printed below and the new menu has expanded from the old one. Salads were fresh, good size and the dressings were light and flavorful. You're not going to get Mangianno's size servings for the money, but it's a nice spot with attentive service and for lunch once in a while it's a nice place to go. How many times can you go to the Cheesesteak Factory and stand in line for over a half hour or more. With 2 of the restaurants having closed in the mall this is a good choice, albeit on the upper side for pricing.

This continues to be one of my favorite lunch spots in the suburban Philly area and I come here as often as possible. When my kids were young we brought them here to help them become civilized and comfortable with restaurant dining; its a good choice for young diners because they bring something delicious to eat right away. (Expect a HUGE popover with strawberry butter and chicken consommé shortly after placing your order for other food.) The wait staff is attentive and most have been working here for years and years - they know what they are serving and that it is delicious. Their crab cakes are a signature item but even their burger served with deliciously fresh-cut fries or homemade chips is always a good choice. The strawberry lemonade is a great favorite and never disappoints. We've never had room for dessert although the seasonal choice always sound delicious. My only complaint would be that I would love this restaurant to be open for dinner however focusing on lunch means that they do everything well.
